Adobe animator and icons...help

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 5, 2008, 1:58 PM
Would anyone happen to know how to use the animation feature of CS2?

Or what program I can use to make an icon? (animated)

Photoshop trouble... HELP!

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 4, 2008, 6:53 AM
Ugh

So my photoshop cs2 does this from time to time, today is just HORRIBLE.

I get through various tools, having to save my project about FIFTY times because it will freeze up. I will go to push file save and it will not drop down the box. THEN it won't even close. I have to go to task manager and exit that way. And MANY times, I lose ALL the changes I made to the original piece.

SOMEBODY please say you've had this happen and know a fix.

I can't get ANYTHING done because it won't stop freezing up.

PLEASE help me.

Okay, so I've been lost in school work and now, at last, summer has arrived. So please be expecting long overdue art!

Well here’s what I’ve learned in the past week, for those of you who are interested in my little life.

1. Nothing is ever as it seems. Sometimes you may deceive yourself into believing that others actually have your best interest in mind and then POOF, your little naive world comes crashing down and DAMN IT. Suddenly you feel as if you’re standing in front of a firing squad with all of your clothes off, unable to find even a shred of cloth to protect you. No this is not a pity party. It is simply a dawning realization.

2. Number one being said, no matter WHAT kind of value you have placed on monitary items and ideals, you will eventually find out how little of that you really need when it comes down to the wire.

3. Having your dignity is far more important than your ego. (which SOUNDS like a contradiction but is REALLY just an irony.)

4. In keeping with number one, you will find that ’the Powers that be’ will provide you with others that you never expect, to rescue you from becoming jaded and bitter about humanity and its lack of kindness and humility. Thanks Power. I needed that.

5. If you’re hurting, REALLY hurting, and have lost even the tiniest piece of fight left to sustain you, hold on to a child. Don’t bawl (you’ll scare them) but just hold them and tell them how happy you are that they may be the one thing you actually did right. (even if you can’t tell yet that it might not be the whole truth.)

I’ve had a rough week. Really rough. And not because I lost so much opportunity or monitary values, but because I lost faith in life and myself. I know that if I can just hang in there and try to learn from this experience that the Power will level the playing field so that I might get a glimpse of what is so far over that fucking hill that I’m standing next to.

I’m hanging in there Power. I really am. I’m trusting you to carry me through this. If anyone was ever proof of your existence and infinite love and care, I am. I never deserved or earned your help. It was just always there when I sought you.

I’m waiting for this to pass. (but on Your time. On Your time.)

New Art Again

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 21, 2007, 8:29 AM
I have been going through a period of loss and therapy. My art has been reflecting this recently. And thanks to some great stock artists, now including sheisprettystock [link] , I have been inspired on how to express how I feel about these things.

Thanks to everyone who is taking this theraputic journey with me.

New Art

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 5, 2007, 5:58 AM
Alas

Don't be afraid to be honest w/ me on any of the pieces. I have only been doing this about a year or so and am working to improve.

I do love the concepts though.

FINALLY NEW ART!

Journal Entry: Thu May 31, 2007, 9:50 PM
I thought I'd NEVER be inspired. Jeez. As you know, I've been reinventing myself. I've been trying to determine who I am now that I've crossed over to the 30+ years. In the process, I've been experimenting w/ new art styles. Thank you for sticking with me during this time.

Thanks again,

Artists' block and good tuturials.

Journal Entry: Sun Apr 15, 2007, 7:17 PM
Hey everybody.

I've been going through a bit of an artists' block, if you will. I am currently dissatisfied with the state of my art and am considering digital art classes. I am looking at tutorials from such wonderful people as SheisPretty and the likes. I will be back soon. Promise. Plus I am finishing up a semester of school and possibly about to undergo surgery. Wish me luck.

If anyone knows of GOOD digital art classes available at college level, I'd love to know.

Thanks,

Astra

Art out of anything challenge

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 4, 2007, 6:52 AM
I believe...

Alright. I've noticed that nobody seems to want to take the steller opportunity to use my stock account to make themselves a years worth of DeviantArt. sooo... with that in mind... I bring myself a challenge. I believe that a truly good artist. (which i don't proclain to be, but will attempt to half ass for the sake of a point) can make art out of ANYTHING.. SHOW ME ANYTHING PEOPLE anything! I will make something beautiful out of it. Just to prove it can be done. Then I wanna see ya'll do sumthin w/ my stock.

I just wanted to thank everyone who's taken time to read my poetry. Poetry is my first choice of art and I've been doing that longer than anything. I put a lot of soul into it. It's great when other people can relate to what I'm saying.
